Your day begins with pickup from your hotel, followed by a drive to the Deep South of New Caledonia, a wild region with spectacular and varied landscapes.
Following the old laterite forest trails, you’ll pass through the mining scrubland and enjoy breathtaking views of Lake Yaté, the Rivière Blanche Valley, and the legendary Rivière Bleue.
The adventure continues with a walk across the historic Pérignon Bridge, before switching to another mode of transportation to reach an exceptional and unspoiled location: the Rivière Bleue Valley. Here, no motorized traffic is permitted for visitors. Only hikers and cyclists are allowed to enter, making this stop a truly unique experience.
From the famous viewpoint at Forêt Noyée, you then enter a dense, humid forest— unique in the world—that serves as a true sanctuary of biodiversity.
A short, easy walk takes you on a journey to spot the cagou, New Caledonia’s iconic and endemic bird, in its natural habitat.
You then follow the right bank of the Blue River, surrounded by lush, primeval vegetation, offering ample opportunityto observe exceptionalplant, animal, and geologicalfeatures.
Enjoy a picnic right by the water in one of the park’s most beautiful swimming spots. Relax completely and take a dip in the crystal-clear water.
After lunch, head to the Grand Kaori, an impressive, thousand-year-old prehistoric conifer accessible via a short, easy trail, for one last chance to immerse yourself in the heart of a timeless natural landscape.
At the end of the day, after an unforgettable outing in nature within a wetland designated as a site of international importance, we headed back to Nouméa along the same route, our minds filled with memories.
